Public bug reported: Kubuntu 18.04 Platform: amd64 on an Intel i5 Kernel: 4.15.0-20-generic Device: TP-Link AC1200 Router: TP-Link Archer AC1750
I tried installing this driver twice today, once via the Driver Manager, and once directly from the command line with "sudo apt install rtl8812au-dkms". The driver compiles, and I can load the module from the command prompt with insmod. It can occasionally connect to the 802.11n SSID, but never to the 802.11ac SSID running at 5 GHz. It fails to authenticate with the stored password and pops up the password dialog box. Entering the password there fails as well. ** Affects: rtl8812au (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1771057 Title: Cannot authenticate with kernel 4.15.0-20-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rtl8812au/+bug/1771057/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
