There firewall is ok. But I found that something got messed up when trying to connect to the VPN from inside our office. The VPN should be used outside the office of course, but I just wanted to test it. I don't know why, but it started working after doing "apt purge --auto-remove network-manager-l2tp* strongswan* xl2tpd && apt install network-manager-l2tp network-manager-l2tp-gnome" and then NOT connect from inside our office. If I did, I hade to run "apt purge..." again. Anyway, it's working for me now. Thank you very much for your help.
