I too see this problem in Gutsy on a DELL precision 360. Both my Sony camera and WD ext hard drive refuse to connect
Everything worked fine on Fedora 4. On Feisty and Gutsy, I need to rmmod ehci_hcd in order to mount either device. changing autosuspend doesn't appear to help. dmesg with ehci_hcd and autosuspend disabled is attached.
