I too see this problem in Gutsy on a DELL precision 360.  Both my Sony
camera and WD ext hard drive refuse to connect

Everything worked fine on Fedora 4.  On Feisty and Gutsy, I need to
rmmod ehci_hcd in order to mount either device.

changing autosuspend doesn't appear to help.

dmesg with ehci_hcd and autosuspend disabled is attached.  The XEROX
Phaser 6120 seems to work fine, although it does occasionally fail on
jobs which could be an I/O type error as explained above, but it isn't
common and  I haven't had time to look at that
