I'm receiving the message too, while booting the gutsy alternate install
cd, but from the kernel.org bugzilla for this bug:

So I would suggest we close this as "apparently confused BIOS, but Linux
works". ... Greg, could you please consider removing that message, or 
rephrasing it
in some manner so that it is less alarming? ... The message is now gone in 
2.6.23.  Closing this bug.

But I'm not sure how to update the status of this bug to reflect this.
It's marked as confirmed for two versions of the linux source, but
unless someone packports the change into a patch (?), then there wont be
a fix on any linux source version before 2.6.23. Maybe mark them as fix
released, and the fix is upgrade your kernel to 2.6.23 to remove the
message (when it becomes available) or ignore it as a warning...
