After allowing less secure apps in my google account security settings
(https://myaccount.google.com/security#connectedapps), I was able to
save a writer document on my google drive by only providing e-mail
address and password.

However I tested with another account with 2FA enabled, and I'm still
getting the prompt to enter a 6-digit PIN code, but I'm not receiving
any code via SMS on my phone as I would expect.
