Public bug reported: When I use the default in the appearance setting [Display size], which is 24" I believe, everything is way too big. Most importantly, the text in the mindmap is too big. If I turn off menu scaling, the menu isn't a problem.
If I set the display size to a significantly larger number, such as 50", the font is at the desirable size, but the readability is horrible. Fonts are either too thin or too bold, and edges have a very undesirable appearance (I would say they are more curvaceous, if that helps). I've played around with different scaling options on my computer to no avail. What used to happen is that the app just seemed to not scale at all. It had a definite font size, and this worked great for my large monitor. My setup: Ubuntu 18.04 Gnome Shell 3.28.1 55" monitor Freeplane 1.6.13-1 (also tried on 1.6.15) java-9-oracle If anyone has any questions, I can be more than helpful. ** Affects: freeplane (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1774749 Title: scaling is off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeplane/+bug/1774749/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
