This is a service, and needs configuration. By default it tries to use your hostname, but if that is not a fully qualified domain name it will fail. If you fix the configuration of amavisd then a service restart will work. To have this restart working is a prereq to be able to smoothly update the package. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1776911 Title: package amavisd-new 1:2.11.0-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed amavisd-new package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/amavisd-new/+bug/1776911/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
