After --use-pdebuild-internal, pdebuild no longer respects --buildresult. A workaround was implemented to manually move the .debs into the right spot. As a part of this, the source packages of a backport are no longer put in %s-debs." It seems that pdebuild respects again --buildresult with --use-pdebuild-internal : the tests that I have done confirm it. So may be your workaround is not needed anymore ?
