I have uploaded a revert update for the amd64-microcode package to the ubuntu-security-proposed ppa https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-security- proposed/+archive/ubuntu/ppa ; it would be appreciated to confirm that upgrading to that version does not cause problems.
