Public bug reported: When shutting down my laptop there is a delay before the laptop actually shuts down. According to the output on the screen (after log out has occurred) the system is waiting for crash-report to finish. After the next boot I looked in /crash and found _usr_bin_xfdesktop.1000.crash. So I ran ubuntu-bug xfdesktop4.
