This bug was reported by several persons (me including, after upgrading
from Feisty to Gutsy), isn't it a little "short" to close it as
"invalid" just with a brief "does not replicate for me" ?

Gusty has moved /var/run to tmpfs, so empty after boot.

Sympa needs /var/run/sympa to exist (doesn't create it in latest startup
scripts) or dies.

The initscript should create it but doesn't, the fix is easy.

Several other daemons besides Sympa have the exact same problem in
Gutsy.

I can't believe that such a bug gets closed as "invalid".

Please reopen.
