Public bug reported: I tried to install Hexen2, but when run from the Terminal, I got the following error message: "FATAL ERROR: Unable to find a proper Hexen II installation". Then I tried to install the game's data files with game-data-packager which failed with the following error: $ game-data-packager hexen2 WARNING:game_data_packager.download:File doesn't have expected size (13422252 vs 13419798), skipping http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=124987&filename=hexen2demo_nov1997-linux-i586.tgz ERROR:game_data_packager.build:Failed to download necessary files for hexen2-demo-data ERROR:game_data_packager.build:Unable to complete any packages because downloads failed.
Taking a look at <https://sourceforge.net/projects/uhexen2/files /Hexen2Demo-Nov.1997/>, it seems that the files have recently been updated, hence the size mismatch. Would be nice if this could be fixed. I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS amd64 with the MATE Desktop and game-data- packager version is 58. ** Affects: game-data-packager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1781449 Title: File doesn't have expected size for Hexen2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/game-data-packager/+bug/1781449/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
