I tried installing your fixed kernel. Unfortunately that did not fix the "incomplete report noise" and it even made responsiveness worse. As opposed to the cursor just jumping around occasionally, this kernel made the cursor jump constantly. The cursor was not able to move smoothly anymore with this kernel. I can keep testing whenever a new solution is found.
