I cannot confirm this with Kubuntu Gutsy. However, I'm just using "compiz --replace" to start it and I've discovered another bug in this context: bug 159409 (Compiz fails to startup if "show icons on desktop" is disabled in KDE ("Error: Another window manager is already running"))
Please try, if using "compiz --replace" makes it any better and if you can actually start compiz if desktop icons are disabled. ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => dAniel hAhler (blueyed) Status: New => Incomplete -- [gutsy] compiz with kde-window-decorator crash when disable/enable "show icons on desktop" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150440 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
