Hi, Kyzer. The root cause may be the same, but symptoms are different. What is described in the bug report you mentioned, is the behaviour I was getting for Xemacs under Gnome when I was using Ubuntu. So whlie in Gnome maximizing Xemacs causes short hang-up, In xfce Xemacs maximizes instantly, but tabs bar starts to blink.
Again, it may is possible that the root cause for both these behaviours is one and the same.
