Public bug reported: I visited dailyshow.com and it told me to to install the flash plugin. Clicking "ok" didn't install anything, but instead opened a tab with Adobe's website asking me if i wanted to download a tarball or an RPM. After a bit of googling, I did "aptitude install flashplugin-nonfree" which seemed to work fine, except Konqueror still had no plugin. Exited and restarted Konqueror: no difference. Went in to the Konqueror config, told it to scan for plugins, no difference.
Went back to the Adobe website, downloaded the tarball, their install script said x86-64 isn't supported, copied the .so file into /usr/local/mozilla/plugins, told Konqueror to scan for plugins again, still nothing. Rooted around a bit and added /usr/lib/flashplugin- nonfree to the directories Konqueror was to scan for plugins: still nothing. Tried to go into "file associations" to see if there was any way to point Konqueror at a specific so file and say "wrap nspluginviewer around this plugin to handle this mime type", but although I can select nspluginviewer the edit button never lights up to configure it with a specific .so to use. I've run out of places to hit it with a rock.
