Happens during installation of Xubuntu or Ubuntu 18.4.1. Message is "Executing
'grub-install/dev/sda failed' This is a fatal error."
changing to sda1, sdb and sdb1 also failed.
This machine previously had XUbuntu running happily.

failed to load grub during installation. THis occured with Xubuntu
