Public bug reported: I inadvertently shut down an upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 as I was responding to an upgrade of programs on my computer and didn't intend for an upgrade to 18.04 as multiple programs (24) are stated not to be compatible with 18.04.
Now the system did a partial upgrade and now reports a problem loading the headers. i don't know what to do next.. I prefer to return to version 16.04 L R Bellmore Jr ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: linux-headers-4.4.0-133 4.4.0-133.159 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-135.161-generic 4.4.140 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-135-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.18 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC1: tcllc-g7-md 2223 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: tcllc-g7-md 2223 F.... pulseaudio Date: Wed Sep 12 08:09:44 2018 DpkgHistoryLog: Start-Date: 2018-09-12 08:07:59 Requested-By: tcllc-g7-md (1000) Upgrade: flashplugin-installer:amd64 (30.0.0.154ubuntu0.16.04.1, 31.0.0.108ubuntu0.16.04.1), initramfs-tools-bin:amd64 (0.122ubuntu8.11, 0.122ubuntu8.12), chromium-browser:amd64 (68.0.3440.106-0ubuntu0.16.04.1, 69.0.3497.81-0ubuntu0.16.04.1), chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra:amd64 (68.0.3440.106-0ubuntu0.16.04.1, 69.0.3497.81-0ubuntu0.16.04.1), brave:amd64 (0.23.105-1, 0.23.107-1), chromium-browser-l10n:amd64 (68.0.3440.106-0ubuntu0.16.04.1, 69.0.3497.81-0ubuntu0.16.04.1), initramfs-tools-core:amd64 (0.122ubuntu8.11, 0.122ubuntu8.12), initramfs-tools:amd64 (0.122ubuntu8.11, 0.122ubuntu8.12) ErrorMessage: package linux-headers-4.4.0-133 is not ready for configuration cannot configure (current status 'half-installed') HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=f8009629-20db-43b6-8ae5-e9c166fa72e3 InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-10-29 (317 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20160719) MachineType: Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC PackageArchitecture: all ProcFB: 0 radeondrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.4.0-135-generic root=UUID=7e50011c-f132-4131-aaa5-c847ea525b65 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 PulseList: Error: command ['pacmd', 'list'] failed with exit code 1: No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon.
