I have the same problem. I used ppa-purge to remove the ppa graphics drivers. I noticed it's now deselcted in Software & Updates > Other Software. I've successfully run sudo apt update, sudo apt upgrade and sudo apt dist-upgrade. Finally when running sudo do-release-upgrade it still couldn't calculate the upgrade.
I did notice in Software & Updates > Additional Drivers that the NVIDIA binary driver version 384.145 (proprietary) is still selected. Will this block the upgrade? How else can I determine what software is preventing the upgrade, if that is infact the problem? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787697 Title: Upgrade from 16.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS due to ubuntu-toolchain test ppa To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1787697/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
