hi everyone, hope this is not a duplicate bug.
running gutsy-i386. message shown after update from update-manager on 6th nov
2007 (about cups, 11 Mb). in italian:
'E:Problem parsing dependency Depends, E:Errore nell'analisi di gdm
(NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status, E:La lista
dei pacchetti o il file di status non possono essere letti o aperti.'
in english (maybe correct):
'E:Problem parsing dependency Depends, E:Error on gdm analysis
(NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status, E:List of
packages or status files can't be read or opened.'
i can't also use apt by terminal, can't open synaptic, can't use aptitude or
the "add/remove" tool, i get always a crash with similar error. i get the same
error even after a restart.
