Public bug reported: xfdesktop is crashing when resolution is changed. It seems seamless to the user as there is nothing apparently wrong, I only noticed the problem because apport window opened later.
When trying to report by it it tries to open https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787901 but I can't see that bug, so I'm making a new report.
