in /var/lib/dpkg/status the dependencies line is broken. look:

near "libxcomposite1 (>=" there isn't the correct lib version, there is some
text... where is the label "description", always present in the other packages
of the list???
i substituted /var/lib/dpkg/status with a renamed copy of
/var/lib/dpkg/status-old. now it works. even synapitc, apt from terminal, etc...
but the problem remains.
