@Shriramana Sharma vga=791 (0x318) uses 24-bpp which could be the problem. Try vga=791 (0x317) which uses 16-bpp. Here is some info (look at the table under section 5.3): http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Framebuffer-HOWTO-5.html
