** Description changed:

- System: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Lubuntu)
- Package: grub-efi-amd64-signed 1.93+2.02-2ubuntu8
-
- 1) The system is Lubuntu 18.04. During its install the installer (ubiquity)
- rebooted too soon without showing any success message. After reboot a new
- record appeared in my rEFInd that contains word "vmlinuz" which boots
- Lubuntu just fine.
- 2) The installer of KDE Neon (around 03.2018) reboots too early in the same
vein.
- 3) After booting into the installed system and trying to `apt install`ing
- a new package dpkg asks:
- ```
- dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to
correct the problem.
- ```.
- 4) Running `sudo dpkg --configure -a --debug=100` produces almost no
- output and reboots the system.
-
- $ cat stderr.log
- Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
- $ cat stdout.log
- Setting up grub-efi-amd64-signed (1.93+2.02-2ubuntu8) ...
-
- 5) tail /var/log/dpkg
-
- 2018-05-08 20:57:39 startup packages configure
- 2018-05-08 20:57:39 configure grub-efi-amd64-signed:amd64 1.93+2.02-2ubuntu8

- 2018-05-08 20:57:39 status half-configured grub-efi-amd64-signed:amd64
1.93+2.02-2ubuntu8
-
- 6) A few days before it was producing more output, specifically the
- sentence:
-
- "Could not prepare Boot variable: No space left on device"
-
- 7)
-
- $ df -h

UEFI.
