AFAIK at the moment there isn't proper WPA Enterprise support (well, most TLS methods appears to be missing kernel patches). Let's please be careful about changing the default wireless daemon to iwd, there's a couple of moving parts there, it's not just about changing the software.
For instance, iwd's design makes me expect that some hardware will no longer be supported unless it is fully ported to using netlink rather than ioctls (hopefully I am wrong about this). That's not a problem for Intel-based wireless, but AIUI there are still lots of other drivers in the wild. My 0.02$: if we want to change from wpasupplicant to iwd, let's make sure we have everything in place as early as possible (kernel patches), and let's do some careful regression testing on a variety of hardware so we can try to catch issues before they happen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1800055 Title: iwd does not work with network manager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1800055/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
