Public bug reported:

I P2V 2 windows workstations then took the VHDX files and converted them
to VDI using VBoxManage clonehd command. The VDI files were not
recognized by virtualbox. The could not been on a USB drive, NFS share,
or even on the home directory of the Ubuntu machine. I take the same VDI
files are appear fine on my Antergos installation of virtualbox (version
5.2.20). I have tried on 2 new installs of Ubuntu 18.04 with the same
result.
