This is indeed a very serious issue and definitely should not be a
'wishlist'.

I'm not aware of any other application that respects user so little that
it forces you having folder with hard coded name in your home from the
moment installation and forever. It pollutes everything: file manager,
command line, search etc.

If you using GUI file manager it is also extremely easy to remove or
move this folder with accidental mouse drag and only notice it when half
of your apps stop working correctly.

In fact, when I first noticed snap folder I just removed it as I though
it was some cache that wasn't cleared by the snappy...

I understand that it may be quite difficult to fix, but I think this
issue deserves more attention.
