Hello Lehel, Indeed, you are right. My output is different from yours, and I get what you indicate in your previous message. However, the result is quite similar because my headphones jack does not work at all (no plug in detection, no sound) and the model came from the same original manufacturer (Clevo).
Today, I applied another update to the kernel (where I think is the main problem) and the ubuntu-drivers package (probably related, but not very likely). After reboot, the headphones worked again. Then, I decided to suspend and resume to check if the headphones still worked. This time, I did not tested the simultaneous connection headphones + ext. mic. No luck, though. The headphones stopped working again. I am not sure if the root cause is the same for your bug and mine, but I am pretty sure at this point that there is a problem with the snd_hda_codec driver at kernel level. So far, the repeating cycle is: - I apply a new kernel update, then reboot. - After first reboot, I have again sound through the headphones connection. Quality is really superb, much better than line out (not sure if due to lower impedance of headphones jack or because the driver was improved). - If I suspend and resume, the headphones connection stops working again. - After next reboots, the headphones do not work at all anymore. My guess is that we can only patiently wait for some kernel developer to take a look at this at some point, and deliver a solution upstream, that can be then transferred to Ubuntu users. For now, I will have to settle for using the line out to listen to spotify in the library while working.
