DNS doesn't work for me after reboot either.

My workaround is to manually add DNS entries to /etc/resolv.conf

nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

I previously tried adding these via gnome-control-center, but it doesn't
respect these settings.

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
Release: 18.04

$ apt-cache policy gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center:
  Installed: 1:3.28.2-0ubuntu0.18.04.2
