If fresh install used SynPS/2 touchpad, it should be that kmod add i2c_i801 in blacklist. In a newer kmod version, i2c_i801 is removed from blacklist.
You can check /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf. Please add i2c_i801 in this blacklist. and update-initramfs -u -k <kernel-version>. "lsmod |grep i2c" to check if i2c_i801 is loaded. either blacklist i2c_i801 or "psmouse.synaptics_intertouch=0" will enforce PS/2 mode. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791427 Title: Touchpad and/or trackpoint stop working after S3 suspend on Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1791427/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
