Public bug reported: ubuntu 18.04.1 - gnome-shell 3.28.3
WIFI is unusable on my laptop as even if I'm browsing, it's kept disconnecting and make the chrome tab unresponsive. (refresh button also not responding) Opening the new tab and put the same url 95% solves the problem for a while. With USB tethering problem less frequently happens, but the tab remains responsive. Xperia set to wifi always on, but even with usb tethering ubuntu disconnects and just when xperia screen is on, comes back. (it's not always happening, and disconnecting less frequently happens, sometimes takes hours to close the connection) Xperia phone shouldn't close the connection, so my feeling is that ubuntu is simply disconnecting the wifi and the usb tethering also in the same way. It can happen also when video didn't buffer for a while and my video playback on full-screen mode. Although my wifi is not that stable, if I'm moving around my flat, but Xperia phone never disconnects from the same place, where ubuntu just makes wifi experience a hell. It has been improved a lot from 16.04 (but didn't solve the problem entirely - does not match how xperia z3 handling my wifi), where every 3-4 sec ubuntu did go offline. (that's why I have used usb tethering at first place) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) => ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1805557 Title: WIFI is disconnecting, and make chrome tab unresponsive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1805557/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
