My suspicion is you had a locally changed package and something was wrong in it. For example, I'm no expert on GPG, but I think your command shows the wrong key (the one you show is 1392B174, whereas the version in Launchpad has "gpgv: using DSA key E544DE079B7C328D". Furthermore, your install talks about /usr/local/bin and other directories under /usr/local which also hints at local changes to the build process.
