// , Just downloaded the latest Ubuntu (18.10), and created an image
with the Ubuntu Startup Disk Creator for it.

The first time I ran the disk on my laptop, I was able to start up
Ubuntu.

The second time I ran this bootdisk, though, I had no luck.

The only difference between the first and the second time is that,
before the second time, I completely shut down Windows on my X1 Carbon
laptop.
