I too am having this same issue (found this via the thread on the Ubuntu Forums, thx for getting this bug report submitted emil.s).
It happens at random times for me. At first, I thought it was the whole issue with my machine not being able to come out of a sleep. But after awhile it just clicked, when I wasn't leaving downloads overnight for about a week my machine stopped freezing. This has happened with a few bit torrent clients: regular bit torrent client, deluge, ktorrent. This didn't happen to me on Dapper, Edgy, or Feisty. It doesn't matter how many downloads I have going in the torrent app, 1 or 5, it still causes my entire system to freeze at random times. I've not been able to the use the "magical sysrq key" to reboot my system, the only thing that works is to push/hold the power button. I'm not really sure what logs to look at, or what to look for in them. I'll try and checkout the dmesg next time it happens to see if anything looks suspicious :-S -- Gutsy craches if downloading torrents (Any Client?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158037 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
