Public bug reported:

I started using Ubuntu in my new Asus VivoBook S14 X430UA laptop. But it
is very disappointing that the keyboard light cannot be controlled using
the dedicated switch (fn + f7). Similarly fn + f8 also not working,
which is for screen toggling.

echo 3 | sudo tee /sys/class/leds/asus::kbd_backlight/brightness

command to switch on the keyboard light is working fine. Is there any
solution for this issue?
