Hi. This is indead something different.
The problem is that in /etc/emacs/site-start.d/53cedet-contrib.el the directory ".../site-lisp/cedet-common" is added to the load-path, whereas the cedet-contrib install script compiles the files to "../site- lisp/cedet-contrib", of course. In the same vein, cogre also adds "../site-lisp/cedet-common" to the load-path, but the .elc files are written to "../site-lisp/cogre", of course. Hence, when installing JDE, emacs22 can't locate the .elc files (nor the .el files) of cogre and cedet-contrib when trying to compile and the setup fails. Somehow this seems to be only related to emacs22--emacs21 and xemacs21 don't have this problem. (And yes, I have them *all* installed! :)) Regards, Claudio -- jde 2.3.5.1-2 fails to install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144892 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
