Hi Kai, i have not knowledge to prove new kernels on my notebook, sorry.
In my case, was a "dirty solutions" this:On my router:1) Change security to
WPA2-AES 2) Not any mixed mode, i.e. only "N" mode3) Not auto-channel but set
to a fixed channelOn my notebook:1) options iwlwifi 11n_disable=8
With this, connection is stable in my home and office but when i am in any
public place, it depends...
 If this issue is not resolved my next upgrade wil be made with other linux
distributions. This problem is very upset for the final users, not programmers,
like me. Sorry again.

 Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v5.0 kernel [0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
