Same problem with a Dell Latitude d820, with ipw3945-wireless.

When booting with hardware switch "on" network interface is recognized, and if
I kill the wireless Nm-applet displays the "no signal" icon.
After I reset the switch it doesn't do anything.
I had never some random disconnections

After resuming from hibernation with kill-switch on (wireless off)
a reboot is required to make the interface work again.

Please increase bug priority, this problem is a showstopper.
