There is not much to say. When I start acroread from the terminal, I get the following output:
$ acroread expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error Which goes on until I press ctrl+c. It is the same problem described in the ubuntu forum link I gave earlier.
