We need to resolve this problem with the freeplane project. Could you please run "freeplane" from the terminal and attach the output here? Also, please download the most current package: https://sourceforge.net/projects/freeplane/files/freeplane%20stable/freeplane_1.7.7%7Eupstream-1_all.deb/download and install it with: sudo dpkg -i freeplane_1.7.7~upstream-1_all.deb Does this resolve your problem?
