One again, and this seems to be of good reference. 12. Kubuntu Gutsy (and I believe this is valid for all Ubuntu flavours) works fine on a fresh, default install so far no update is made
I've a fresh install (from i386 CD image and on-line PC) working for about two days without freeze. Also installing and using some apps like Firefox and T'bird don't alter the situation. Update warning tray-panel-icon is present but I have left off to upgrade! A parallel working PC (same hardware config) runs an equal installation of Kubuntu but updated. So far no update was present it worked fine. Few minutes after update it started to freeze, and it continues to do it now. It can run no more than 10 minutes long without freezing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *The problem seems to be introduced by the default first update after installation!* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- gutsy amd64 freeze crash lockup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157777 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
