Hi Brian, "apt-get update; apt-get install grub2-common" still reports "grub2-common is already the newest version (2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.21)" to me, and the new version can not be found.
I'm running the Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS (4.4.0-142-generic #168-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 16 21:00:45 UTC 2019 x86_64) version and I have "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ xenial-proposed restricted main multiverse universe" in my /etc/apt/sources.list. I guess I must be missing something? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1826453 Title: Grub2 Booting in blind mode due to "invalid video mode specification `text'" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1826453/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
