installed. If this can be confirmed, then this is more of a support case
than a bug in the software.
This said, more robust handling by the release upgrader (detecting this
situation - which is difficult to do -, and handling it, probably by
preventing a release upgrade to be initiated under these unsafe
conditions, and providing further suggestion) would be more than just
nice to have in general (and deserves its separate bug report).
