Would it also be possible to mark the "upstream" test (https://salsa.debian.org/systemd- team/systemd/blob/master/debian/tests/control#L113) "flaky" or turn it off altogether? We run it on CentOS and Arch anyway so it should be safe. On Ubuntu CI it's particularly flaky and I don't think it makes much sense to keep running it there until some stuff like timeouts isn't adjusted to VMs on the Ubuntu CI infrastructure. I think at this point it would make sense to make sure that Ubuntu-specific tests are in good shape.
