This prevents compilation of NVIDIA drivers (DKMS) also. I *suspect* (but am not at all authoritative or knowledgeable enough to say so) that the fix here will actually be to change the build flags used by the kernel set in /usr/src/linux-headers-$(uname -r)/Makefile
