Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
network-manager-vpnc upon setting up and connecting to a profile prompts you for a password in the following way: You need to authenticate to access the Virtual Private Network "<name>". Password [ ] Group Password [ ] (Actually 2 seperate passwords) I first saw this page and entered my group password twice; mainly out of confusion... (i only saw the name of my vpn connection 'cri' which also happens to be my PSK group name) This lead me down a spiral of 'tail /var/log/syslog' (which said nothing about a bad password for my username)... I believe this is an easy fix; You need to authenticate to access the Virtual Private Network "<name>". User Password [ ] Group Password [ ] ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- network-manager (vpnc) - reword connection screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164351 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
