Jackdaw28, I noticed in the dmesg output you've attached that the Local APIC has been disabled by your BIOS: Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- you can enable it with "lapic" Care to try enabling it with the "lapic" kenel boot option and let us know of your results? Also, maybe try "acpi=off" as well. Also, I'm tagging this report as "hardy-kernel-candidate" so that we make sure to carry this report through the hardy kernel release.
