I think this appeared after I used the linux-backports- modules-2.6.22-14-generic_2.6.22-14.11UNRELEASED_i386.deb package:
When playing music (with rythmbox), the sound gets louder and louder with time (until it reaches max, pretty fast). However, if I look gnome sound control tool, the volume does not change (stays at ~50%).
