Public bug reported: Not sure if this is the correct package, but...
On an Edgy Knot2 install that has been fully updated as of September 24th, I get a kernel panic when I try to suspend or hibernate. This is a IBM T41 with ATI7500 Mobility graphics. The panic happens under any combination of: (un)plugged to AC, with(out) my 2nd battery. Here are the last few lines it spits out: ----------------------------------------------------------------- [17180712.960000] <c0102122> cpu_idle+0x42/0xb0 <c03f47a1> start_kernel+0x321/0x3a0 [17180712.960000] <c03f4210> unknown_bootoption+0x0/0x270 [17180712.960000] Code: /** bunch of hex values here, let me know if you need them **/ [17180712.960000] EIP: [<c012b5f1>] cascade+0x31/0x40 SS:ESP 0068:c03efef4 [17180712.960000] <0>Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt [17180712.960000] ----------------------------------------------------------------- ** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- IBM T41 under Edgy: Kernel Panic for Suspend/Hibernate https://launchpad.net/bugs/62196 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
