I have exactly the same behavior as wateenellende here. kdesu version 1.1-0ubuntu2.2 doesn't fix it.
Duplicated bug 144722 describe my problem more accuratly than this one. Seems to me that it is not the same issue. My /home is through NFSv4 like described in the 144722 bug.
